Ingredients

Dermec Soap has the following ingredients

Syndet Base

The word “syndet” is derived from “synthetic” combined with “detergent”.  Technically it refers to the binding that occurs between different detergents, also called surfactants or tensioactive agents. These detergents, which have an affinity for oils and repel water, surround dirt with small structures that are then removed by water.

Syndets are recommended for cleansing sensitive skin and even baby skin, as they are far gentler in pH terms than traditional soaps. Syndet soap surfactants are derived from oils, fats etc. These synthetic surfactants make syndet bars the mildest personal cleansing bars, often pH neutral. Pure soap free syndets have pH matching the pH of Skin.

Shea Butter

Shea butter is a skin super food that comes from the seeds of the fruit of the Shea (Karite) tree and that is naturally rich in vitamins A, E and F. It offers UV protection (it is SPF ~6) and provides the skin with essential fatty acids and the nutrients necessary for collagen production.

Learning how to bathe your baby properly will need some practice& can easily be learned with time. Below we have included some bathing tips & techniques suitable for babies, with additional details for parents of the newborns.

Safety Tips & Techniques for baby bathing

  • Gather all the things you will need before you start to give the bath.
  • It is vital to ascertain that the temperature of the room isnt too hot or chilly.
  • The temperature of the bath water should be luke warm to prevent chilling or burning the baby.  If you do not have a bath thermometer, test the water with your elbow. When you place your elbow in the water, it should feel warm, not hot.
  • Always keep a firm hold on your baby during the bath. Baby skin can get slippery during bath.
  • Keep one hand on your baby when you turn away from him or her or step to the side.
  • Never leave your baby alone during the bath, not even “for a second.”  Children can quickly drown in only one inch of water.
